Crawling using tippee toes? 🤔 FTM help is this normal??

Hi guys, my lo is 11 months old and just started crawling, but he pushes off with his tippee toes instead of getting up on his hands and knees. Is this common? Whenever I try to guide him on his knees he whines and puts them right back down. Will he eventually get it? I'm a little worried since he will be 11.5 months next week and he's not really going very far. TIA

My baby does this too. I don't think it's unheard of. There's actually quite a few ways babies crawl.

I wouldn't worry, he'll figure it out in his own time. My son crawled weird when he initially learned as well, but doesn't anymore. Now this kid gets rug burn on his knees from scooting so fast haha.

My son is also 11.5 months and doesn't crawl properly. He moves with his hands and one knee lol the other leg is flat on the floor. I asked the dr about it and he said it doesn't matter some kids skip crawling all together.
