Solids

When do I give my baby solids more than once a day he is 6 months old and eats once a day he just started solids about 2 weeks ago he's a very big baby so he eats a lot he seems interested in eating more than once a day but I I'm worried it might be too soon since he just started. I want to take it slow but I'm not sure what the best choice is should I give him solids more than once a day ?
