How old were your babies when they said their first words and what were they? My sweet girl is just starting to coo, but I'm really rooting for "mama" to be her first word.

My son was 7 or 8 months old, and said dada first. Everyone was dada for a while 😂

Babies mean their words after they are 10-12 months old. It's very normal that their first consonant sounds be m and d. So they say mama, dada, papa, without really meaning it. They can say mamamam, for example.
