Baby lifts her head?!

Question

My baby is only a week and 4 days but since she was about 5-6 days, when she is laying on my chest, she will pick her head up. Sometimes to turn and look the other direction, other times just to hold her head up??
Is it normal? 
Just a short phase and she won't do it again until the appropriate age?
Or is she just a little advanced?
She will also straighten her legs out and stand her butt up for a short bit. Then lay down.

My daughter did the same thing. She could completely hold her head up and look around and sit against things at just two weeks old. This photo is when she was 15 days old. Some babies just have neck control quicker than others

After I gave birth, they placed my baby on my chest, and she lifted her head 😂 she came out sleeping, and tried looking around when on my chest. Only for a second. When she was 6-7 days, she'd hold her head up and look around for about 15 seconds straight. Today she turns 1 week and 2 days, and this morning she had her head up for the longest time! I think I'm gonna start tummy time with her soon 😂 she's growing up so fast!!! 😩

My daughter did the same thing. She is now able to completely hold her head up and still at just 3 months old. She can even sit up supported. She advanced alot faster than we thought she would. Could mean your baby will too.

My firstborn lifted his head at 10 days and I was shocked but 5-6 days sounds like a very strong baby 😃 Congrats on ur lil one!
