down syndrome??

so I had my down syndrome sono and blood work done last Wednesday. that Friday I went in to get the results and such and the blood work wasn't in yet. they said the sonogram looked "abnormal" so the doctor said call back Monday for the blood work.

call back today and the nurse said the doctor will call you when he goes over the results I said okay.

he calls back a couple hours later and said blood work shows 90% chance of the baby not having down but there still is a 10% I said okay so what does this mean? he said we are gonna make you an appointment to see a fetal medicine doctor in Burlington VT to do further testing.

Has any one else been through something similar? I wouldn't be upset if the baby was down but I feel over whelmed bc with my job it's a set schedule and it's hard to take time off and such so going all the way out there is just kinda running through my head if and how.
