Metaformin after depo.

My husband and I aren't exactly trying to get pregnant. The push is more to get me normal. My dr had recently prescribed provera to help. I'm wondering if my actual gyno would prescribe metaformin to regulate me? If it helps me get regular and boosts my fertility also while possibly helping me loose weight I'm all in. My family dr says if the provera doesn't help, he wants me to try bc for 2 months. I'm opposed to that because I just got off bc! Anyone else use this after depo to regulate you?
