Would you take ab7 week old baby to the zoo?

Question

My husband loves the zoo and wants to take the baby to the zoo.  I just don't like the idea. He says I'm over protective and that baby is old enough.

yes I would.  I went to the county fair which has tons of animals and people from everywhere at two weeks. I never did the holding my kid in a bubble thing. I've never worried about that. I didn't stop my life because I had a baby. I'm not hitting roller coasters with a baby in my arms. I even had a couple beers at the fair with my baby in a sling.

Yes. Just keep him in infant seat w light Muslin blanket covering the top- leave sides open for air. I took mine to zoo young because we have an older child too. No problems w going.

Absolutely my son is a month old today and he has been to the zoo and 4H fair already!

I would! I started taking my daughter on little outings pretty early including a field trip to the zoo with my students (I was on leave but met them there). I kept her bundled in her stroller or carrier and she was fine! I'm not going to stop living my life just because I had a baby. 😊

I took my son to the zoo at 3 weeks. I had his stroller covered but honestly didn't think anything of it until reading these comments 😬

I would...I took my daughter to a car show at 8 weeks old.

Ya as long as they either stay in the car seat/stroller or in a carrier on you! Just don't let random people or kids touch the baby lol

I personally wouldn't but I also wouldn't want to stifle my husband's adorable excitement. I would just compromise on the temperature and pick a mild weather day and keep baby either in a carrier or in the stroller. It's basically an overpriced walk, but clearly it's for the adults. Or at least...one of them.

Our daughter was at the zoo at 5 or 6 weeks old. Everyone survived lol like any other outing, we just made sure she was protected from the sun. We had sunscreen on her as well as a sun hat and we tried to keep her stroller covered most times as well to keep out extra germs. We obviously didn't let anyone near her either and hand sanitizer and wipes were my best friend. We see no issue with taking our daughter out. She's been going out since the day she was born lol
