Can you get free samples of foundation at Ulta if you ask?

I'm doing a girl's makeup this weekend for prom but she doesn't have foundation and it would be more helpful if I could just get a sample of foundation because her skin tone is very different from mine. I know you can at Sephora, but what about Ulta? Thanks!

No I used to manage a few ultas.

Secondly she should buy the foundation she's using because samples are for those intending to buy the product not for this purpose.

I'm not trying to be rude,  I just work at mac and it's one of my pet peeves.  It costs the company money and to not get a return on investment is a waste.

It can be done, But it's definitely an exception. Ulta doesn't do samples like Sephora does. I am a former employee.
