Trying to conceive...

Hello me and my husband have been trying to conceive well for a little over a year now. I went off the pill and we have been trying for a year and nothing. we discussed and changed my birth control and went on it for 6 months. I have lost 67 lbs. I was 267 now 200. could my weight affect my chances of conceiving? I have just went off bir5h control again.. How long does it take to get pregnant initially?
