When did baby start sleeping in their own room?

My 6 month old daughter is sleeping in our bedroom still in her own "bed." I see a lot of parents trying to use this age to try and transition their baby into their own bedroom. I don't mind my daughter still sleeping in our room though because she's still waking up a few times in the night and sometimes won't go back to sleep if I don't let her sleep in our bed for a few hours, and then I put her back in her own bed for the rest of the night. Also, her bedroom is all the way across the house and I just don't feel comfortable with her being so far at night just yet. At what age did you get your baby to sleep in their own room? I feel like a smothering parent right now with seeing how many people are switching to baby's own bedroom right now😕
