My baby is a month old now and I've decided to stop pumping because it is mentally and physically getting exhausting. My plan was to gradually wean off the pump but after seeing my OB today- she told me I could quit cold turkey and the milk would be gone in a few days. However, this makes me nervous because I'm prone to clogged ducts and I explained to her how I felt but she honestly wasn't too concerned about me getting mastitis and said that it was rare. Has anyone out there stopped cold turkey? If so, what was your experience? Also, I only pump around 2oz each time all together, so it's not like my supply is up there (not sure if this would make a difference or not).
