Can anxiety cause tachycardia?

Yesterday I had to go to the ER because my blood pressure was high, 120 beats per minute. Is it harmful? How can you control it? xx

Anxiety can't harm you or kill you in any way. You probably have an underlying condition. Anxiety makes your heart rate go up but it can't do any harm.

I'm guessing you meant to say your heart rate was 120 bpm not your blood pressure. 
Tachycardia especially in pregnancy can be alleviated by increasing your water consumption. Dehydration is the number one leading cause of pregnancy related tachycardia. If your blood pressure stays increased, your doctor may want to prescribe a safe hypertensive medication to reduce it.
