Is there any justification for slapping a child across the face?

Nope, I don't do the face...slap on the ass or the hand I just think there's something not cool about it being in the face... I got that as a kid and so much more maybe that's why I'm not cool with it...everyone raises their children different tho

I was spanked as a kid but only after my parents sent me to my room and took time to cool down. Then one of them would come in and it was always three quick hits. I don't feel scarred by it so I have nothing against spanking in that fashion. However, one or two times my mom flicked me in the face after mouthing off when I was a teen, I knew it was out of anger and it still makes me mad to think of to this day. I think hitting the face crosses a line from discipline into plain aggression and that's not okay.
