Where to begin. Around 7pm I noticed her acting funny and it progressively got worse. She was swaying and having a hard time talking. She started slurring her words and walking out of the department with her arm covering her mouth. Her legs started giving out and she was grabbing the wrong things and trying to use the wrong machines. Every time I asked her if she was okay or if she needed a break she would barely be able to say the word good which was her only response to any of my questions. We work in a deli and she couldn't even slice the right amount of cheese for someone even with him repeating himself 3 times. She was just so dazed and seemed confused. I was so concerned I started to have a panic attack and ran and got the closet employee to help her. He walked her upfront to the managers office and they called back to me and asked what was happening and if she has any health issues that I know of. Then the suggestion came up of her being drunk. I feel like if she was actually drinking I just cost her her job and I don't know how to handle it. She is my best friend and one of the only people I enjoy working with. I just don't know what to think or do.
