Am I allowed to post debate questions that aren't so controversial in this group, or is there another group for that??

Well, for a debate topic to actually be debatable it needs two opposing views at least. That would likely make it at least slightly controversial  🤷‍♂️ I think it's fine.

As long as you can actually debate on it.
So really, "which colour is better? Yellow or red"
Isn't that fun. Neither are pizza topics.
But it depends on what your topic is. If it's something like a colour, maybe find a different room. If it's something that people can have strong or even mild feelings on, then sure. If I can bring up facts on it, sure. 
Well use an example:
"Who's better, trump or obama?"
There will be people who support one side and those who support the other side.
