IM SO CONFUSED!!!

Question about doctors??

So I'm sick. I don't know if it's allergies or the flu or upper respiratory thing I'm not sure. But I want to be sure bc I'm 23 weeks pregnant and I don't want to get too too sick. So...

I call 1 doc and they're like oh we don't take the insurance let me give you the number of our downtown clinic so I'm like ok. I call. Stay on hold. Ask to make an appt and they're like "oh we don't have that kind of dr here that would be a diff department would you like their #?" SURE. so I call and stay on hold for like 20 mins and they pull up my info and are like "ma'am this is internal medicine you need to speak with family practice would u like their number?" Ummm ok. ITS THE SAME NUMBER I DIALED BEFORE 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm triggered

So I call the number and they're like "you need to call your insurance first to select a PCP and then give us a call back". Um ok. So I call and I get put on hold while they find me a PCP and the lady comes back on the line and gives me 3 Dr's with phone numbers. I look them up and 2 are pediatricians and one specializes in geriatrics WTF I'm not a kid and I'm not old!

So my question is:

Can pregnant women be seen by a pediatrician?

Also

Can my OB just check me out for strep or something so I don't have to keep chasing around just to find another doctor?
