Prolonged period?

I just got the copper IUD a few days before my period began. They warned me about heavier periods but I've had my period for going on 2 weeks now instead of less than a week. Is this a normal symptom or should I be concerned? I'm really fucking sick of bleeding, lemme tell you that much. Ugh, I need answers.

I'm going on my third year with Paraguard, it does get better, but that first six months was insane.  Had to take iron pills before during and after my period! You should check in with your doctor, but they'll assure you (like mine did) that the adjustment period (LoL) takes a while. Once it's all settled though, it really is nice to not have to worry about BC anymore, and not have hormone interference.

I had periods forever, all the time. now after two years, I have 2 or 3 3day periods every month. that's been the norm for almost 5 months. n
This month a spotted a few days in the beginning and have now missed 4 start dates. I'm sorry you have to deal it!
