In need of some reassurance
Super long but please read!! I need some support and some reassurance.
So on the 28th a doctor told me to terminate my pregnancy. I haven't really said too much about it because yesterday was my birthday and receiving this type of news was just not what I needed. I want some of you ladies advice. I wouldn't EVER dare terminate but I was just looking for some positive insight. I'm diabetic with high blood pressure. This was pre-existing condition prior to pregnancy. I went in for a level 2 ultrasound for concerns of spina bifida. During the ultrasound I was aware that my little guys fluid were low from a previous hospital visit. Where they said his fluids were at 6 cm. The doctor came in and said he has no fluids but the ultrasound tech said his fluids were low but he was test breathing on the ultrasound. My MIL tried every possible option or question for the doctor and each time he shot her down. Telling us there was nothing we could do. He sent us to the emergency room (us I mean my fiancé and MIL) where we sat for about 8 hours while they performed test after test. They were concerned I ruptured my membrane and after a pelvic they realized that wasn't the case. They told me to continue doing my normal tasks like working and taking my meds and they would see me in 4 weeks for a repeat ultrasound. The next morning I went to Winnie palmer for a second opinion where the other doctor told me your baby is in the 25th percentile so he is in the small side and there is no spina bifida present. He also notified me that the fluids were low and it was a defect with my placenta. That all I can do is have faith and keep taking care of my pre-existing conditions. Keeping myself healthy. This is a long shot in the dark but have any other mommies experienced this? I have read quite a few things online and yes I know that's terrible but I have seen positive outcomes. I have only been on insulin for about 2 weeks and my blood sugars have been well controlled. I am now 19 weeks pregnant. I just need some positivity and some reassurance. TIA
