Why can't she just give me a prescription?!🙄

So I've been on the pill for about 9 months and my doctor always tells me to make the appointment to get more when I'm on my 7 day break (when I've got no more packs left). So I'm on my 7 day break now and she's telling me I can't get an appointment until the 11th of September. I don't understand why I need to have a doctors appointment and get checked every single time? Why can't she just give me the prescription so I can get them asap?!

I had to have an annual pelvic exam while on BC in order for my prescription to be renewed. I never took a "break" from it though. They were flexible in making sure I stayed consistent. Plus, insurance only covered one exam per year, so each one was just over a year after the previous.

That is pretty annoying 🤔 I would ask her about that the next time you see her. I would also make my appointment super in advance. You know when your breaks are gonna be (every 4 weeks) so just make it nice and early so you don't have to struggle to find one at the last minute
