can u buy amniotic fluid test strips?

I feel like I might be leaking amniotic fluid but don't want to wait 2-3hrs in my drs waiting room bc she's always packed. can i buy testing strips at a drug store or is that something that can only be done at drs?

Yea my midwife sends me straight to labor and delivery for emergencies and meets me there. I fainted and had horrible dizzy spells with my last and she had me in every time it happened to check blood pressure and sugar and monitor baby.

I called my doctor when I thought my water was leaking I was 39 weeks and 5 days so she sent me to l&d; the test there only took 5 min and I'm glad I went because it was the beginning of labor. I had my daughter 6 hours later

It can only be done at the Dr's, mine also looks at the fluid under the microscope to check for ferning, and they may still send you to the hospital because the test at the hospital is most accurate. It was like a 3 hour process but it was in fact amniotic fluid so it's good I went.
