Umm...this is normal...right?

So my Doctor put me on Apri birth control pills and I started them last Tuesday, however, I couldn't handle the severity of the symptoms and stopped them on Thursday. Monday I started experiencing period like bleeding and am still bleeding today. This is normal...right? If so is it a second period? How is it likely to effect my cycle?

It's called withdrawal bleeding. When you stop taking your pills mid cycle you experience the bleeding due to the change in hormones. It's very very common. It is typical for it to last as long as a normal period 3-8 days. My doctor told me (when I stopped my Bc to start ttc) that my period would be irregular for a month or two and then would regulate and be fine. If you are concerned though, call your doctor and check. Everyone is different.
