Period sex ?!?!

It kind of upsets me that when me and my boyfriend of 3 years first got together he always wanted sex ! He didn't even care if I was on my period he would still have sex with me . Well anyways about a year ago he won't have sex while I'm on my period now . Is it weird that it hurts my feelings a little and makes me feel like he's not attracted to me now ? He use to have no problem , I wouldn't even have to ask ! and now he says "that's gross " or "that's unsanitary" . Kind of hurt my feelings that he had a change of heart all of a sudden :/
