What's your announcement gonna be?

So we haven't told our parents yet, nor our kids. 
We have 4 kids already ( this is my 3rd pregnancy I adopted my husbands two girls) 
So how is everyone going to break the news to family? I need ideas, husband and I want to tell our family after our first doctors appointment ( on sep.6th)

Then how are you going to brake the news to friends/Facebook? And when? After the 1st trimester?

We are waiting until I am about 4 or 5 months along. We lost our first at 16 weeks and our second at 5. God willing this baby sticks and is our rainbow baby. In that event I'm hoping to announce it on our firsts angelversary in December

My husband went to Cabo for a bachelor party and told his mom that he took a bunch of pictures, which he did. She wanted to see them, so he's sending her appropriate ones (😜) and the last picture is me holding a sign that says "Can't wait to meet you Granny and Pops". I also made a similar sign for his dad and stepmom. Will do the same for them. Still working on my parents.

I plan on telling immediate family after our first doctors appt at 8 weeks. I have a 6 year old daughter, so I'm going to get her a shirt made saying "I'm being promoted to big sister- May 2018". Then, I'll have her wear it to our parents houses and see if they catch on 😁

Well I haven't decided if or when I'll do a social media announcement. My sisters and my bffs know (via text photo of the test lol) but for my immediate family I am going to announce at the next family get together by wearing this shirt and seeing how long it'll take someone to notice.

My daughter has a big sister shirt that she's wearing to announce it to people. So far it took my husband 20 minutes, my mom and sister noticed instantly, my dad took some prompting. We haven't seen my ILs in person since finding out so they will have to wait. I think to tell social media I will just do a picture of my daughter wearing the shirt. Maybe with something else more creative... maybe not. I'm gonna get a lot of use out of that shirt, that's for sure!

I told my husband last night. I'll post a pic below. (He's a police dispatcher.)

We plan on inviting close family and friends to the house for a football game after 8 weeks. We got married in July, so we're going to give them all a gift and lead them to believe it's a thank you present for helping with the wedding. My mom sews, so her gift will be a pattern for baby clothes. We're probably going to do a box of name tags for his mom with a note that says "please decide by May 2018." His stepsister's children call her "Gigi," but we don't know if she really wants to be called that by our child, so this should be a cute way for her to opt to be called something else if she so chooses. My best friends son's will both be on the high school soccer team next year, when baby is almost 1, so we want to get a onesie that says "I don't always cheer for (insert mascot image), but when I do, it's because Connor and Quinn are playing." If that's too much text, we will probably do "Number 2 on the field and number one in my heart." And a second that says "Uncle Quinn says I'm a Keeper" 
I coach soccer, so I am going to do some sort of relay race that ends in a balloon-in-box reveal that spells out B A B Y. That won't be until 12 week or later. Depends on if I start showing. High school girls notice if you gain weight in your belly, and since they were part of the proposal two years ago, I wanted to do something special for them before we post on social media. I want a "future soccer player ⬇️" shirt for that day, after the reveal. 
Our social media announcement will be Harry Potter shirts that say "We solemnly swear we've been up to no good" and "Mischief Managed" on the front with "The magic begins..." and "May 2018" on the backs. 
I have this all planned and I still have a month to go before the 8 week mark! 😩😬😳 Can't blame a girl for being excited, though, right?

I'm super excited to announce!! We were so adamant we were going to be one and done but 4 and a half years after our first decided we wanted another so anybody that knows us thinks it will never happen. My daughters 5th birthday party is mid October when I will be 9 weeks and all the people I want to tell in person will be there so I'm going to have her open all her presents and the last one be a shirt that says BIG SISTER... FINALLY. I've got 2 sisters that already know and they'll video the reactions because it's going to be hilarious.
