Boiled Hotdogs?

I'm almost 20 weeks pregnant, I was reading that we aren't suppose to eat hot dogs but are we allowed to if they are boiled?

Lol I've eaten everything while pregnant. "Dont have eggs sunnyside up" well I craved them. 
"Don't have deli meats" well I craved it.
"Don't have coffee" yeah wasnt happening
 "Dont have hotdogs" you see where I'm going with this lol.. I know someone who had sushi her whole pregnancy and her son is completely fine. To each their own when it comes to this stuff. I just over cooked the things I really wanted ..

I do.  just make sure they're cooked all the way through.  I personally still wouldn't eat them from a take away joint because I've got no idea how long they've been there,  and I've had a few bad experiences resulting in an upset stomach.  so I just make them at home 😬

Lol the first time I got pregnant the nurse says okay just remember to cook your meats like your hot dogs and baloney

Technically, no one should be eating hotdogs. They are so bad for you!! lol But, during my last  pregnancy, steamies were one of the only things I could keep down. And I had a LOT.  My Dr.  shrugged and said "eat what you can". Try not having them every day, but now and again is fine.

You can have them it's the nitrates you shouldn't be having so just make sure your buying the ones that are nitrate free as they do sell them. If you can't find them then I would pass as nitrates are not good for growing baby and should be avoided so that's why ppl say not to eat hot dogs.

It's the same reason you shouldn't eat deli meats. If boiled you eliminate the risk of listeria but not the nitrates.

I'm sure it would be fine as long as they're well cooked. I've accidentally committed some of the unspeakable crimes in pregnancy- such as consuming cold lunchmeat, 36 weeks here and baby is growing healthy and strong. The world won't end if you accidentally slip up, but just be careful :)

it took me forever to even hear this so I have had SO many hotdogs lol. even raw ones a few times. oops. oh well. can't tend to everything we "aren't allowed to do".
