Numbness in Tongue & Throat??

For the last several days, I've been experiencing slight numbness in my tongue & down my throat when I'm finishing eating. It only happens during lunch.... not breakfast, dinner nor snacks. If you've ever used numbing sore throat spray or sucked on a numbing lozenge then this exact feeling I have. I assumed it was a new allergic reaction but it doesn't progress & the foods I've eaten are not new to me nor even remotely similar. I've read about nerve compression as pregnancy progresses but I'm only 9wks today. (... Although my hands & feet have been quick to fall asleep for several weeks now so I guess it could be related....but why only lunch??) I'm also a Type 2 Diabetic w/chronic hypertension, if that helps at all. Has antibody else had this feeling or know what this could be?
