The N word in rap songs

Coming from a post I seen in CC, I was wondering everyone's opinions. So we're all obviously aware that in the majority of rap music the N word is used a lot. If somebody, of any race, is rapping along to the song, do you think it's wrong if they say the N word? Is it only okay if a black person does it or do you think it's okay if anyone does since it's just a song?

I just want to make it clear we're only talking about saying it when singing or rapping along to something. I don't think it's okay for people to say it in any other context.

No. You do not say the word if you are not black. What is every other races obsession with being allowed to say this word?

Nah. I wouldn't say it. I try to avoid slurs in every situation. I wouldn't like it if people did it with slurs that personally offend me, and when it happens it sure as hell makes me uncomfortable, so why would I do it to others?

No, if you aren't black you don't say the n word. It's not even that hard to not say it. When I've rapped songs that have the n word, I usually say fella or brotha, and it does nothing to sing except make it appropriate for me, some Asian guy, to sing.

No. I have posted a meme with it but I'm honestly not sure if that's offensive, if it is I have yet to be told about it. (Feel free to lmk now if it is)

I skip that word even when I love the song, it just feels wrong.

Anyone remember the backlash J. Lo got when she dropped the n-bomb way back when? Even if you are singing/rapping/repeating someone else... if you are not black, you don't get a pass. Don't say it. Don't even sing it in your head--eventually it will slip out. It's not your word to use. The end.

I never say that word, even if it's in a song. I will bleep it out in my mind.
