Anybody struggling to get pregnant second time around?

Question

We have been trying for 4 months (it took 4 months with Baby #1...so I was expecting sooner this time)and no baby yet. Anybody having trouble getting pregnant second time around? I’ve had my periods since 3 months pp and can definitely feel when I’m ovulating.
I am still nursing 3 times a day and am thinking that is the problem. I have heard that the egg doesn’t implant as easily? I am wanting to nurse until my son is 18 months so trying to not let baby fever overtake me 🤣

Well I am trying for my second but I have major road blocks, my husband takes cymbalta and he is also a trucker, getting him here and making a deposit at the right time is near impossible, I am praying a lot, but it seems like this is going to be quite a hurtle conquer

Thanks for the updates ladies and congrats to you who are expecting! It is bittersweet because I am so very thankful for this time I have with just our son but very much want another baby. But just confirms what I thought, it can maybe take longer if you are still breastfeeding!

I struggled some too. Only took us two months the first time, ended in missed miscarriage at 10weeks. One month the second time, full term healthy girl. I breast feed/pumped for one year. Got my period on her first birthday then just breastfed at night and mornings for another two months. It took us 5 cycles this time. My luteal phase was quite short, anywhere from 4-9 days. Ugh. But I did become pregnant and am 9 weeks today!

It took me one cycle to get pregnant the first time. I'm still breastfeeding my daughter and didn't get my period back until she was 9 months old. It took us a whole 8 months this time but I'm finally 9 weeks pregnant.
