Any Marine girlfriends/wives?

Hey, I'm 17 and a senior in high school. My boyfriend of 17 months recently told me that he wants to do some time (probably 4-6 years) with the Marines before college, and he enlisted a week ago. I'm a little worried, naturally, so I'm hoping I can get an idea of what to expect in the next few years from other women in the same situation. I want to believe we'll stay together but I want a realistic idea of what being a military girlfriend will mean. I absolutely cannot marry him and move around with him because I have college and med school to think of.
