Getting pregnant young makes you a whore/slut/skank?

Do you think people getting pregnant at a young age (teenage years) makes you a whore/slut/skank? I ask because I have always noticed that most people call girls who get pregnant young a slut/whore/skank and really any name in the book. I got pregnant at 17 (now 18 and 30 weeks pregnant) with my boyfriend the end of senior year and people started calling me all these names.

No. Of course not. And people who think this way are disgusting. Having sex (no matter what age) does not make you a skank or a whore. Personally I feel that there is such a thing as too young and I can see why people would be upset about it, but that doesn't make them whores. Sex is a normal and natural thing and if these young children are having it, chances are they're probably not going to stop. So I think that we should educate them and encourage safer sex instead of shaming them for it.

my mom got pregnant with me at 16 and she's not a whore or a skank. my biological father was her first nd. a lot of people have sex at that age, anyone could get pregnant. not just people who sleep around a lot.

My mom got pregnant with my sister at 14 via rape. When she told me this story I always became the girl would tell rude ass kids to shut the fuck up and mind there business. Everyone's story is different, I knew plenty of girl who have no babies that were the literal definition of slut.

It doesn't make you a slut, that's not fair... but saying it's okay is also wrong. Children do not need to be having children. It's irresponsible and immature. It's selfish. Sometimes when people see something as "stupid" or "wrong" they name call... and because this particular instance relates to sex, it makes sense that the insult is a sexually based one. The problem isn't "you couldn't keep your legs closed" the problem is that you were making choices that you aren't mentally and emotionally mature enough to be making. Not saying you are doomed or will be a terrible parent, but things will be harder for you and not turn out as well as they would have if things were planned out better, and if it was planned, that just underscores the immaturity aspect. A truly mature person wouldn't rationalize why this is a good idea at this age, because it never is. Your perceived level of "stability" is not reality. You are mentally not an adult, you lack the life experience that would prepare you for parenting. There is no good reason to have a baby as a teen, there is no benefit to not waiting until you are in your twenties.

I don't agree with the words but I do think it's kinda irresponsible. I would have never thought of getting pregnant at 13,14,15,16. Its crazy I wouldn't want kids to have that responsibility. I had my son when I was 21 and I'll be 23 with my second.  When I was a teenager I was having fun, not buying diapers and I'm happy it didn't happen that soon. If it would have happened I mean I would have lived with it but it's not ideal. Kids need better sex education and access to birth control
