How did you know when to get a divorce?

How did you know it was time to get a divorce?
I feel like we would be better off and happier but at same time I don't want to split my family up.

When i felt like all options were tried and that no positive could come from staying in the relationship.

When I was his 2nd choice and the one he was seeing was a man. I think that we mutually agreed we would be better off apart! Now he's happy with said man, and I'm happily remarried.

When other women and drugs were more important than his wife and unborn child. I had to do what was best for us.

When he had the sheriff deliver the papers to me when he was at work. Wanting a divorce and full custody of the kids. Lol joke! Divorce was great! And we get along so good now :-) but I get the kids most of the time

I had enough of the neglect and knew I deserved better. It's a long story, but it's the best thing I did for myself as now I'm with the man of my dreams!

After 8 years of lies, cheating, gambling problems.  We conceived a few months into our relationship and we were young when we got married.  We really didn't know each other well enough.  It took me years to realize he would never change and we had different priorities.  We have two children together and it was by no means easy to go through the divorce, but we are MUCH happier apart.  Every situation is different of course and every marriage has their faults and reasons for not working out
