Baby Clothes Run small???

Question

Does anybody else have this same problem?? My son is 6mo and hes only on 40% on the growth chart and i have to buy a 12mo size for him in clothes and they still look like he'll outgrow them in a couole weeks. i also have to buy him a size 4 in diapers. So is my baby just really big for his age or the clothes and diaper people have their sizing all wrong 🤔

What does he weigh and how long is he??? That doesn't sound right for a baby who is only in the 40%.

My son is 9 months and in the 87% percentile for weight but is only in 12 month  clothes for the most part. Doesn't sound right for a baby in the 40th

Where do you shop for baby clothes? I know from experience that Carters runs small especially after washing and drying! My daughter is 8 weeks and she wears 6 month old clothes from them. Other brands are true to size I think, like baby gap, the children place, Gymboree

That doesn't sound right. is he short and chunky perhaps?

The only brand we have issues with is Koala Baby. They run super small. It's always the first brand my daughter grows out of. The rest seem to be okay for the most part but she does tend to grow out of sizes before reaching their age/height/weight limits. She's been in 3-6 month clothing since she was 9 weeks old lol

You say 40%, but do you mean 40th percentile for weight or 40th percentile for height? or is it both?

My son is 14 months, 40th percentile for weight and 60th for height, and he's been in the "right" size for his age since he was about 6 months old. The exception is Gerber - i found their stuff to run super small.

My kids are always a size ahead in clothes. So is pretty much every baby I know unless it was a premie.
