So I have the helix piercing that is completely healed. I am afraid to change the surgical steel ring myself and put in a new one because I have a keloid scar (piercing bump). It's kinda small but idk if I should change it yet or wait until the bump is gone ? It used to be medium size but went down to small but hasn't gotten smaller since. I applied vitamin e oil on it. What should I do? See my piercer for him to do it? Or..?

Also my piercing hole is starting to form that smelly gunk and that's why I want to remove it, clean it, put in new one but I have the bump :( thanks for the help

The piercing is completely healed, took 8 months.
