After giving Birth?

Question

After we have given birth in the labour ward ? Do we shower in there before going back to the room we will stay in ? If this is the case what clothes do we put on after we have had the baby what would you suggest ? Thanks

I didn't shower till taken to the recovery room.

Call your hospital they should be able to tell you what their normal procedure is. 
At my hospital we have a smaller delivery ward so they take you to your recovery room within a few hours after you've given birth, and you shower there. If you haven't had an epidural I'm sure you could probably even if they wanted you moved soon. I didn't even care the first few hours of her life. Once we were in the new room I felt more like showering. I stayed in their hospital gowns until I showered then just wore loose pj pants and a nursing tank.

Well in the hospital I was at, I stayed in the room I have birth in for the whole stay. I gave birth early in the morning and was able to shower that night. For clothes, I just wore a tank top (easy access for breastfeeding lol) and some loose leggings.

It really depends on the hospital... where I had my first 2 you stay in the same room the entire time delivery and recovery but where I will deliver my 3rd you change rooms after delivery.

They had me shower in my delivery room. Then put a gown on. The next day I showered in my new room and out in my own clothes like sweats and a tank top

Well I had my first in Michigan and after I had my son they allowed me to shower and then put on clean gown and socks before going to my room. I brought comfy stretch pants and t shirts nothing tight fitting! They give you mesh undies and pads you can bring nursing bras or sports bras.
