Infected or blocked tear duct?

My poor girl has a sore eye. What is it?! 
Should I take her to the doc? Help 😔

Clogged tear ducts are fairly common in little ones, but it's hard to tell from the picture. Try gently massaging the tear duct and wiping away any discharge with a warm wash rag. If you're breastfeeding or pumping, you can massage some milk into it. It never hurts to call the pediatrician and ask. They'll let you know if it's worth a trip to the office or if you can take care of it at home.

Try rubbing under the eye with a warm cloth until you can get into a doctor, but I'd definitely get it looked at.

My daughter had something similar but her eye wasn't red.. it was just crusty and had mucus around her eye. I put a few drops of my breastmilk in it and within a few hours her eye was getting better and the mucus was completely gone the next day!
