Did the arm implant cause your depression to worsen?

Girls, my depression has been awful and it's putting a strain on my relationship and I'm getting to the point where I just want to give up on it which deep down I know I do not want to do that. Anyone else have this problem with the implant? I got the implant about 3 weeks ago and I'm having my first period on it. It's been super light but has lasted 9 days. So far 🙄. I didn't know if the depression stuff will go away or what.

There is a link between progesterone and depression especially in progesterone only contraceptives...... i would speak to your gp if things do not start to even out or they get worse, you may need to change it

If it's the progesterone implant then yes, I took that hormone in pill form for about 2 weeks and my mood was awful - I was so low and had to come off it just to function. Your doctor should have offered you the pill form first to check you were okay with the hormone!
