One month weightloss.

I have struggled with weight all my life. I yo-yo like crazy with stress. Like a lot of people, I've dieted, had success, and then fell right back into old patterns. After years of this exhausting cycle I decided to try it right this time. I've been eating small meals or snacks when I am hungry. I don't miss breakfast or eat too late. I've cut out processed sugar and bread. I drink water throughout the day. I do basic strength training and cardio a little each day, but I really wanted to focus on getting my eating habits in a better place first. My plan for this next month is to start stepping up my cardio game and doing more reps. It is honestly really hard for me to be patient with myself and this process...The photo on the right is one month ago. Left photo is today. What do you think? Am I doing this right?
