My mother says "the hardest period in a girl's life is from 17-21, because you're finishing school, trying to figure out who and where you want to be, and everything's just bloody difficult."
After watching my sister struggle though that period, and hearing mum's story, I'd agree. I kinda just blame all my problems on the job market ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For me it was, but for unrelated reasons. I disagree though, because it's different for everyone. Everyone's life will have different difficulties at different stages

For me it was 9-14
My parents were going through custody battles. I matured early like already a b cup in 3rd grade😒 boys were too rough, girls bullied me. I fought all the time. My moms boyfriends would make fun of me. All I had was softball and I was great at it then I hit 13/14 and my mom took me out of it and I had no where to put my anger. Eventually I threatened my verbally abusive step dads life and military school came to pick me up. 
I was going through so many hormonal changes and mental abuse at the same time holding it all in I'd say pretend was the fucking worse for me

Honestly, I agree with this based on my personal experience from the ages 16-22. I was leaving everything and everyone I had ever known behind knowing I would never see or speak to them and that was pretty rough. I was still trying to figure out for myself what I believed and didn't. Like had you asked me 5-6 years ago, I would have told you divorce and wearing anything but dark, modest, clothes would send you to hell. I was getting a job and paying off a house and getting my GED all while having a 3rd grade education. I am not sure what statistics there are to say what certain age is the roughest, but on my personal experience it was the roughest, but for someone else it may be different.

In my opinion, not even taking away all the shit I went through that was... out of the ordinary for most people. The drug addict parents,  the homlessnees, the rape, and so much other shit. Id honestly have to agree. 17 to 21 exactly. Its one thing having things that are fucked up happen to you that you cant always control. Its another thing getting to the age where you need to decide how those things are going to impact your adulthood and who youre going to be. transitioning from a child to adult is gruesome, especially when you get to 25 and realize you still have shit you need to learn and figure out because youre not the same person as you were when you were 21.

I would say after college by a few years for me... so 21-25? it wasn't until I settled into my adult life that things started to level out. Don't get me wrong, I still have hard times....but nothing like those years..

I hit yes, but meant no. It really depends on the individual. I don't think that age is inherently bad for people. Depends on the circumstances in your life.

I'd have to agree. I'm only twenty now, but theresa lot of life lessons hitting me that school doesn't really prep you for (like come on finance class, you spent way too much time on APR). 
I think for me my harder spot in life will be 22+. By then I'll be done with tat school and mostly self sufficient, if I can shoo the father, so I won't have the dependency I do now with my dad (bless his heart he's awesome , but also ugh because man will not stop providing when I'm like "dad stop let me handle it").
