Questions about Child Support

How do I go about putting my child's father on CS if he isn't on the birth certificate, due to a bunch of issues we had while I was pregnant I decided I didn't want him on it just because of all the issues, however I did still let him see our son whenever he wanted to. Well I wasn't going to put him on child support because I'm honestly fine supporting the baby on my own (he hasn't done anything financially for the kid) Now times are starting to get tough and as my son gets older he gets more expensive so I'm needing the money. (He's two btw) I was wondering what all I had to do to get him on it and I was wondering what kind of custody agreement we will more than likely get, he hasn't seen our son in five months, after he found out his new girlfriend was pregnant he just quit coming around and now he's with her taking care of that child but doesn't want to take care of ours, our son doesn't even know him as "Dad" because even before he quit coming around completely he'd only come see our son once every month or two. So I'm worried about what kind of agreement they will give us simply because my son doesn't know him well, he knows nothing about our son (literally nothing) and I just don't want them jumping right into him keeping our son overnight or something because my son has problems being away from me since we've been together literally everyday since he was born. I also live in AL if that helps anything.

Oh and he told me he'd rather go to jail than pay me child support and I was wondering what they would do about that.
