No more no. 2?

I have been with my partner for 10 years. We have 1, 7year old son. I am 29 and my partner is 36, he has recently decided he does not want any more kids. Only a year ago he was telling everyone we are trying for another child. We never conceived, we are getting married next year and I dont want to be pregnant at my wedding, so we put a hold on trying to conceive. Now he has decided he doesn't want more kids, im wondering if I'm been selfish or is he been an ass?
