parenting books

Any suggestions? I have a 6 mo, but I'd like suggestions for books for when he gets older and helping him with his temper and honestly my own. My mom didn't hold it together and was slightly abusive to me, I have a temper too. I never wanna take it out on him, I really want to learn positive ways to cope and teach him how to act in a positive manner before we even reach that hurdle. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.
