Will my first born be upset if I have another baby?

Okay so I know this is going to sound silly by I'm wondering if anyone else had the same fears as me. I have a perfect (almost) two year old daughter who is absolutely the center of my and her daddy's world. She is also the only grandchild on my side and the only niece or nephew for my brothers. EVERYONE is so in love with her it's unreal. She gets so much attention and love and we have decided to try for our second because I don't want her to be an only child and I don't want too big of an age gap between my kids. I have two brothers and they are my best friends so I would never want her to be an only child. Will she be okay? Will she adjust? Or will she be super sad and resent us for having another child?

I somewhat wonder this. My daughter is only 9 months so she'll still need quite a bit of attention when we have our newborn. I'm 4 weeks and 4 days today. I didn't want a big age gap between my kids either. I think as long as you include your daughter a lot and get her excited about the baby, she'll be okay. Also, occasionally set aside time for just you and her. Kids need individual attention.

When my daughter was 3 she was very mad at me for leaving her but I had to go to the hospital to deliver my baby lol and when I came be home she was very upset but at the same time was happy and getting used to having a baby sister I even let her hold the baby then she was ok. Now I have a 3 year son and now I'm worrying how he'll act when I do get pregnant and bring home another baby🤔

I was the oldest, and the only grandchild on one side, and the second grandchild on in the other (and on that side I had 12 doting aunts & uncles) and was totally the center of attention. My mom says that I always wanted someone in the room with me, and really enjoyed having the attention of so many adults. My little brother came along when I was 3, and I think my parents worried a lot about my adjustment, and obviously I don't remember much, but I must have done just fine :). I really loved growing up as the big sister, and I got five little siblings total eventually :). The youngest one called me mommy too (I was a teen when she was born and I loved being like a second mommy to her). Plus, like you said, it would be sad not to have any siblings. As an adult, I love having them. I hope that eases your mind a little!
