Mirena pain

Okay so I've almost had my mirena for a year now. The insertion was awful but I heal up from it fine and didn't have any problems until three months after I had it. I get really bad sharp shooting pains in my left ovary sometimes. I'm doubled over in pain if I don't take ibuprofen when I feel it come on. I wanted to break down and cry if they pain started to come on and I can't stop it. I don't know if it's to do with digestion? It only happens once every few weeks . I also had an vaginal ultrasound and they called me but I never had the chance to call them back. Does anyone else have problems like this? Have you seen your doctor?
