Group B Strep?

Devin • Mama to 2. Married 💍. Homeschooling family📓📚. We love Jesus 💜.

A month ago I started having discomfort when urinating. My doctor said I had a small trace of bacteria so she put me on Cipro. Well I ended up going back because I didn't notice a change in the discomfort and she did another urine test. This time I had bacteria plus a high number of infection cells. Turns out I'm positive for Beta Hemolytic Streptococcus GroupB. I'm googling it, which I know I shouldn't do lol, but I'm really only finding answers about pregnant women having it. Has any other non pregnant women had this? I just got my results this morning so I have no idea about medicine. I saw that penicillin is used to treat it, so I guess that's what I'll get. Thanks!
