Has birth control helped any of you with hormonal acne?

Question

I've always had hormonal acne, it flares up when I'm ovulating and flares up worse when I'm menstruation. I've dealt with this for about four years and I'm looking at birth control for an option. Any advice?

try using Witch Hazel.. you can find it in almost any store like walmart, dollar general, or cvs near the medicine/ bandaids... i've dealt with acne for forever , tried everything . I've been on bc for over a year & saw no progress in my skin until i started using Witch Hazel. & it's cheap!

my dermatologist prescribed me a birth controle pill for acne problem ... same problem as yours and my periods weren't regular ... my acne marks completely dissapeared...less acne on my face that became more clean if i could say hihi ...and my period got pretty regular . go for it !!
