Too young?

Question

Who would say 21 is too young to think about trying to become pregnant?  My fiancé is 19 (we are 1 year and about 3 months apart in age), and quite successful, and I'm about to become a server at a very nice restaurant.  I am really wanting to try and have a baby, but I am so unsure right now...

At 21 you are just barely starting your life. The law just let you start drinking alcohol and get into bars. Think about it! What's the rush? 
I also don't consider working as a server at a restaurant "successful". That should be more of a stepping stone for young people while they finish school etc... Do you have your own place? Do you have a baby sitter or can afford one? Do you have money to to support yourself and child? if no, then get yourself situated first.

At that young maybe wait until you are married. I was engaged at 21 and we split up. Especially since he hasn't gotten to experience being 21. I knew someone who got married before she was 21 and she went crazy she cheated on her husband and he almost divorced her. I am not saying in any way shape or form that that is what will happen to you two but it happens even to people who don't think it will happen to them.

Possibly wait, babies can make or break a relationship. Break in my case, and I had a very secure relationship of five years. If you do go through with it, I really wish the best for you ❤

I know everyone is different but I'm married and pregnant at 21 and kinda wish I would have waited. I haven't gotten to experience being 21 I was 15 weeks pregnant on my birthday. My husband is older then me so that helps. With your  fiancé being younger then you it might be a strain on your relationship. You have to realize man mature a lot slower than women do. Think back to when you were 19 and ask yourself of you were ready to have a baby then. That's were he's at now, maybe even a little behind. I'm trying to discourage you but its a lot to think about. Are you financially ready for a baby, have you talked with your fiancé about this, and what's the rush?

in 21 and 23 weeks right now. if would wait. it's putting strain  on me and my boyfriend's relationship right now and we been dstung for about 3 and a half years

Do you have insurance? Do you have any money in savings? Will you need a bigger apartment. Make sure you have your life together and a healthy amount of savings before you start a family.

I would suggest maybe waiting. Maturity plays a big part. I'm 19, my husband is 22. We're both very mature for our age (told by literally every one) and we're 25 weeks pregnant. We honestly almost spilt up about halfway through this. It's a trying time, it's stressful. Granted we also just bought a house and had lots of stress too. Not saying you guys will be like that, and I know people hate to say that marriage is just a piece of paper, but I think it signifies that you two are ready to stay together through thick and thin.

yeah don't.  I had a baby at 20 and although I don't regret her AT ALL, nor do I regret any of my kids, I do wish I had that selfish phase a bit in my 20's. however, having a child isn't a negative thing. she and my others are the best things I've done in my life. they are my life. I couldn't imagine a world without them

I got married at 19 years old, this last week we celebrated our 7 years of marriage. Everyone said we were too young for everything. We dated for 6 months, married 9 months later. With hard work, and dedication to your spouse, you can make it through the hardest things. Being young can make things harder becuase of the lack of life experience, but it comes down to the kind of people you both are and how dedicated you are to your marriage. I would sit down and think about all of things that come with a child and the responsibilities and think about how you both would handle it. I don't have children yet, but this is just my opinion. 💜

I’m 21 and my pregnancy is amazing , I’m 21 weeks , my life is amazing , I’m a nurse tech , my boyfriend has an amazing job and going to school .. we have our own house , financially stable .. if you’re ready don’t let anyone else make your decision for you .. different people go through different situations .. best of luck 😘
