Strep at 5 weeks... Antibiotics Prescribed

I am 5 weeks today. Just found out I have strep throat. My doctor prescribed Azithromycin (500mg 1x/day for 5 days... OBGYN confirmed this is considered safe). However, we miscarried in November of 2016 due to my having to have my gallbladder and appendix removed two days apart, going under anesthesia twice and all of the pain killers that went along with it (all tests were bfn as I was only 7dpo at this time). I am terrified I am going to miscarry again due to this or that it will cause deformities in the baby.

Has anyone taken Azithromycin this early in the first trimester and everything turned out fine?
