how u put ur newborn to sleep?

hi everyone . i have 3 weeks baby and its really hard for me to make him sleep. he likes to sleep in  my hugs once i put him down he wakes up. well i like to be with him but i need other things to do. take care of my 4 yr toddler cook clean pump milk etc....plz share ur experience how u made ur newborn to sleep.

Don’t let your 3 week old cry it out. That’s easily the worst advice I’ve ever heard 🙄 my daughter always wanted to be with me for those first few weeks so I wore her at lot throughout the day. I then started transitioning her to her DockATot for naps once she was about 3 weeks old. If she fell asleep in my arms, I’d immediately put her down. If she woke up, I’d start over. It took a lot of consistency but she got it. And by 5 weeks old she was sleeping 9-12 hour stretches at night and it actually made daytime naps a hell of a lot easier after that. You can try swaddling. That helped a lot with my daughter at night. I don’t swaddle during the day because I like making naps and bedtime different so that she knows the difference between the two but I know a lot of moms who swear by swaddling for every nap! I’d also experiment with different napping places as well whether it’s their crib, a DockATot, a pack n play, rocker, swing. Find what works best! 😊

At 3 weeks old your baby is neurologically incapable of soothing themselves. Do Not have your baby cry it out, they will only feel alone and cry harder. Invest in a MOBY or another baby wrap, it's very normal for a small baby to want to be held. They're a newborn, they need their mama. Around a month old my LO would stay swaddled in a rock n play and nap that way, but if he cried for me I would pick him up. You can't spoil a newborn. He's now 3mo old and naps independently with little trouble.

I had the same issues. I would baby wear & swaddle. Then once I put him down, I would keep my hand on his tummy/chest and lightly pat (and usually sing or hum so he could feel & hear that I was there) until he fell back asleep.

i lean over my baby while putting him down and make sure that he cant move his legs or hands...he wakes up immediately if able to move his hands...also i make sure that his knees are above the mattress...like not on the plane surface...for this i put small pillows under his knees. when going away after 2 mins, i put my hand on his chest and pat him..this always works....hope it helps

let them cry so they know you're not gonna hold them 24/7. they need to get use to it, so letting them cry for 15 minutes, then picking them up for about 1-2 minutes and putting em down for 15 minutes. my doctor, and mother in law have told me that and its very hard to do, but something you gotta do.
