That moment you think it's the day, and you get sent home!! 😭😭

So I am now 38 weeks and 4 days, and have anticipated delivering early my whole pregnancy due to my first two being early and this being my third. So I woke up yesterday to pretty strong contractions and started to time them.... within two hours they went from 5 to 6 minutes apart to 4 to 5. I was so excited as you could imagine, and so was the family. Everyone shooting out of their beds, my house was seriously like the opening scene from Home Alone! So I'm sending texts to my team lead at work that today was the day and excitement just flowed all over the place! We get the the hospital and check in. As they are hooking me up to the monitor, we notice the contractions have now gotten closer... now 3 to 4 minutes apart. They check me and I'm only 2 1/2 cm, 50% effaced and stationed -2.... not quite as far as I had expected!! After about an hour of walking I am rechecked and only went up to a three.... but my ob wanted me to be a 4 before admitting me. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Needless to say, I spent yesterday walking, doing some house work, napping, and eating weird foods my aunt suggested.... and nothing!! Ugh, now going back to work today and I'm so embarrassed... the nurse said I was in the latent phase of labor, but I woke up this morning and it feels like everything has stopped. Anyone else experience this before?? Yesterday felt like the biggest tease!!!
