Breastfeeding in public

How long did it take some of you ladies to feel comfortable breastfeeding in public? I want to so bad but always end up running out to the car😔. I'm pretty modest and I feel like everyone would be watching me, I know I shouldn't care but I do. Plus my daughter HATES to be covered and has thrown the cover off and I'm scared she will do that in public and give everyone a nice little show lol. She is 2 months and I love going to my brothers basketball games but find myself missing the majority, if not all his games! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
