Do you think it's a scam?

Question

You apply on Indeed.com for a CSR position. They contact you the next day via text, and then do the interview via email. No talking at all. Akamai Technologies is the company. During the "interview"- email everything told about the company I found looking the company up on Wikipedia. They wanted address and for me to take picture of my ID (I did not) and send it. It seems very scammy but the company is also Internet based. Help lol

it's a scam. internet based would have still done video calls at least

They have a 1.8/5 star rating on consumer affairs and a 3.6/5 on Glassdoor. Personally, I would stay away.

yes its a scam i got the same one and my cousin did too said you work but end up not getting paid so...stear clear of it

Akamai is a great company but that doesnt sound right. Call the corporate office and ask to speak to the HR dept and see if its real or not. They're pretty strict w who they hire so I doubt they wouldnt do a real interview

Yeah that sounds like a scam. to me. the logical next step in a job is to get your SSN and DOB  for a background check and there is no way I'd give that.
